About Ugly Truth

Every week a new tool, app, gadget or “system” promises to save you time, make you money or change your life. Most of the content about them is written by people paid to be excited.

Ugly Truth is a South African channel and website that puts those promises to the test and reports back plainly. We started with AI tools and business automation, and we’ll go wherever the hype is.

Our rules

• We test before we talk. Every verdict comes from real use, on real tasks.
• No one buys a verdict. Sponsors and affiliate partners never see or approve our conclusions.
• We disclose everything. If we earn from a link, we say so. See our affiliate disclosure.
• We correct mistakes. If we get something wrong, we update it and say what changed.

How we make our content

We’re a small team and we use AI tools in our own production: for research support, narration and editing. Every topic, test and verdict is chosen and checked by a person. Using these tools daily is part of how we know which ones are any good.
