Ugly Truth (“we”, “us”) runs uglytruth.co.za and the Ugly Truth YouTube channel. We respect your privacy and process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Newsletter: your name (optional) and email address when you subscribe.
- Contact form: your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Basic usage data: like most websites, our hosting and any analytics tools may log technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
How we use it
We use your information only to send the newsletter you asked for, reply to your messages, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We don’t sell your personal information.
Third parties
Embedded YouTube videos, affiliate links and any email or analytics services we use are run by third parties with their own privacy policies. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may use cookies to track that the sale came from us.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@uglytruth.co.za. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
